- Take 1/4 tsp Black mustard seeds

- Get 2 tbsp Mustard oil
You don't need to add water, mangoes will release its water content and the pickle will cook in that water itself. M y Punjabi aunty gave me lots of raw mangoes. I thought that this time I will try lots of pickle recipes. Last time I tried the Punjabi raw mango chutney under auntys guidance and raw mango pickle which was what I had learnt from my Mom.
Steps to make Grated raw mango pickle:
- Wash and peel and grate the raw mango.
- Add salt and mix well
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add black mustard seeds and asafoetida.
- Let it cool down a beat till warm.
- Then add turmeric powder,red chilli powder and roasted fenugreek powder and then pour this on the grated mango.
- Mix well and let it cool completely.
- Pour in the glass jar and keep in the fridge.
