Instructions to make Palak Mung Dal sabzi:
- Thoroughly wash and then soak the mung dal for approx 1 hour.
- In a wok add oil. Once the oil is hot add asafoetida, garlic and sauté until light brown. Then add green chillies, and onions and sauté.
- Drain the water from the mung dal and add the mung dal in the kadhai with 5 tbsp of water and the spices (turmeric, red chilly powder2020202) and stir everything well.
- Cover and cook for 10 mins. Keep stirring every now and then.
- The water should now be evaporated and the dal cooked.
- Now add the chopped spinach/ palak and salt and stir well.
- Cover and cook for 5-7 mins.
- Sabzi is ready!!
