- Take 1 cup wheat flour

- Make ready 1/2 teaspoon amchur / dry mango powder
- Get 1 cup chopped onions
- Prepare For Churma
- Take 2 Bati
- Get 3 teaspoon sugar
- Make ready 2 cardamom
The spicy dal with the sweet churma along with deep fried crunchy batis, its such a treat. Few weeks when I was googling saw a dal bati churma picture which tempted me so much that I decided to try it the next day itself. After waving bye to mittu, reached. A platter of semi-sweet Churma, spicy Dal and deep-fried Baati, is one such traditional combination.
Steps to make Dal Bati Churma with pickled onions:
- For Bati : Take wheat flour add ghee to it and mix well, when you hold the flour and ghee together it should come together and be firm like in the picture.Now add water slowly and make a soft dough.
- Now rest the dough for then mins then make a ball flatten it and make a line in between rotate the ball around and make a line again, it should look like a plus sign.
- The third picture in second step and fourth picture in third step explains the process. Now fold make a ball and flatten it little and keep aside.
- Now boil water and add the Bati to it and stir it with light hands, once it’s cooked it will float up.
- Now take ghee and oil and heat it add the bati to it and cook till golden brown on both sides.Note: Please keep two boiled bati aside for churma.Bati is ready.
- For dhal: Soak the three daal for one hour then pressure cook them for 4 whistles. After cooked mixed salt to taste and keep aside.
- Now take a deep pan or Kadai add mustard seeds sand jeera hing and let it splutter then add onions pinch of salt to the onions turmeric powder and cook well.
- Let it turn golden brown. After it turns golden brown add the daal chilli powder dhaniya powder amchur jeera powder and mix well and cook for 5 mins. Add lime juice after it cools.Serve into a bowl and garnish with pudina leaves.
- For churma : Now on the gas stove place the grill and place one boiled bati over the flame and cook well on both sides and keep aside.Repeat the process for one more.
- Now take a mixi jar add sugar, cardamom and two bati and make it into powder.Churma is ready.
- Take a bowl add sliced onions add salt,lime juice mix well and keep aside.
- Serve all together. Fried bati churma onions and daal.
