- Sieve all the flour(maize,pearl millet,sorghum,ragi).Put carom seeds, baking soda and ghee in it.
- Take green peas in a mixer. Put 2 green chillies and blend them coarse. Mix crushed peas in the flour.
- Wash and take spinach in blender adding little water and make paste. Add this paste too in flour.
- Mix everything together. Add salt as per taste. Take some lukewarm water and knead into soft dough. Keep the dough aside for 5 minutes. Knead the dough again till dough. It takes about 5-7 minutes.
- Take a round portion of dough. Press it a little flat and create an impression using fingers.
- Spread a layer of sand/salt in cooker. Heat it for 8-10 min. Grease a plate with ghee and place baatis on it. Close the lid of the cooker without whistle. Bake on medium flame for 15 minutes. Open the cooker and turn baati. Apply ghee.
- Baati is served with Dal. Dipping baati in ghee gives awesome taste.
