- Get 1 cup yellow pigeon (toor dal) Rinsed and drained
- Prepare 1 tbsp ghee

- Take 5-6 Garlic cloves chopped
- Take 1 inch ginger chopped
- Get 1 tsp turmeric powder

- Take 2.5 cup water
- Take to taste Salt
- Get 1 tbsp coriender leaves

- Prepare 1 cup rice, Rinsed and drained
- Take 1.5 cup water
- Prepare 1 pinch salt (optional)
Instructions to make Dal Rice:
- Take a pan add water to a Boil add rice, salt mix well simmer till rice cooked well, drained excess water, set aside.
- Take a pressure cooker heat ghee add cumin seeds and dried red chili saute for a seconds.
- Add ginger, garlic saute for 5-6 minute.
- Add onion, tomatoes, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt stir well.
- Pour drained toor dal and water check the consistency of the dal mix well.
- Cook for 3-4 whistle.
- Ready to serve with hot rice.
