- Take a cup of cleaned China dal and soak in water for 30 minutes. - - Cut the raw papaya and potato in 1 n1/2 " size. - - On a pressure cooker take the soaked dal, chopped papaya, potatoes, turmeric powder. Cook in high flame for 1 whistle. Allow the pressure cooker to cool naturally.
- In a kadhai heat oil and add pancha phutan. Let them crackle. Add chopped onion,green chilli and saute till translucent. - - Then tomatoes,ginger garlic, 1tbsp water and salt. Cook till tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- Now add rest of the dry mandalas and cook in low heat till the oil separate. - - Mix the boiled dal and veggies to the cooked masala in kadhi and mix well. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
- Switch off the flame and add and mix crushed dried methi powder and ghee. Serve the delicious and mouthwatering Dalma. - Thanks
