The ingredients needed to make Raw papaya halwa:
- Prepare 250 gms raw papaya
- Get 1/2 ltr Milk
- Take 2 Cardamoms
- Get 50 gms Ghee
- Make ready 75 gms Sugar
- Make ready 10 cashews
- Prepare 2 drops green food colour (optional)
This halwa can be prepared with raw, semi ripe or fully ripe papaya. But the taste of the halwa made with raw papaya is very different from the one made of ripe papaya. The amount of sugar that goes towards making this halwa with raw papaya is quite a lot, so i made this with ripe papaya. Then add blended raw papaya and mix them well.
Steps to make Raw papaya halwa:
- Peel raw papaya grate it, squeeze water from it and keep it a side.
- Add 3tsp of ghee in a kadhai fry grated papaya until it turns aromatic.It takes around 10 to 15 mins.
- Add 1/2 ltr milk and continuously stir until it becomes thick.
- Now add sugar,green food colour and cardamom cook for another 10 mins.Until bubbles evaporate.
- Finally add roasted cashews on top.
Take a bowl and mix water and cornflour. In to this add ,food colour if you need. Pour this mixture into the papaya halwa and combine. Add cardamom powder and roasted cashews and give it a mix. Halva is nothing but dessert or sweet.
