  1. Prepare 1 cup Besan (Gram flour)
  2. Get 1.5 tbsp Sooji (Semolina)
  3. Prepare 3/4-1 cup water(batter consistency should be pouring)
  4. Get 1 tbsp Sugar
  5. Take 1/2 tsp ground green chilies (optional)
  6. Prepare 1 teaspoon Eno (1 packet)
  7. Take 1/4 teaspoon Citric acid
  8. Prepare pinch Baking Soda
  9. Get 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  10. Get to taste salt
  11. Get for tempering
  12. Take 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  14. Take 1 tsp Sugar
  15. Prepare 3 small Green Chilies
  16. Prepare 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  17. Take 1 tablespoon Oil
  18. Make ready 2 tbsp Water
Steps to make Heart Dhokla:
  1. Pour approx. 2-3 cups water in steamer at bottom and heat it over medium flame. Make sure that steamer is at least 4-5 minutes heated before placing the plate (filled with batter) in it.
  2. Grease plate using oil. Mix together all the ingredients for the batter except Eno using enough water(3/4-1 cup) to make pouring consistency batter.
  3. Add eno in batter and stir in one direction.You will notice its size would increase to almost double.
  4. Now, pour batter immediately into greased plate. - Place plate in steamer and steam for 10 minutes over high flame and 5-7 min on medium-low flame.
  5. Meanwhile make tempering/tadka. Takeout plate from steamer and let them cool for few minutes. Cut fluffy dhokla into small squares using knife.or Cut in Heart Shape.
  6. Pour tempering over cut pieces of steamed khaman. - Enjoy this delicious Dhokla.
